Come to one or all of these parades, as each will have you celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in a fun and unique way.  So grab some friends (Irish or not) show your love of the Irish!

Top 2 St. Patrick’s Day Parades in the Lehigh Valley for 2012

The Allentown St. Patrick’s Day Parade is scheduled for March 18th.  Fortunately you don’t have to wait until the parade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Allentown, as there are a variety of other events planned to help you get your green on.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Historic Downtown Bethlehem.  Once again, the streets will be filled with the sound of bagpipes, and all things Irish.  The 2nd annual Celtic Classic Parade of Shamrocks is on Saturday, March 17th at 1:00pm.  This St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be the kickoff event to the 25th anniversary year of the Celtic Classic, featuring more floats, more bands, and lots of surprises!  Here is the St. Patrick’s Day event schedule:

  • 1:00 – Celtic Classic Parade of Shamrocks steps off
  • 1:30 – Doors open to the LARGEST ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARTY IN THE LEHIGH VALLEY – beer, soft drinks and food available for purchase
  • 2:30 – Finnegan’s Wake begins, with performances by O’Grady-Quinlan Academy of Irish Dance
  • 6:00 – Glengarry Bhoys take the stage
  • 7:30 – Last Call
  • 8:00 – Event ends

This year will include a whole week of Irish events called Beth-lum Go Bragh!  On any day of the week, March 11-17, you can enjoy Irish fare, music, events, and specials in the two downtowns of Bethlehem!

The Lehigh Valley is a great place to live or visit around St. Patrick’s Day, as there is something for everyone to get your green on!
