The Lehigh Valley Arts Council invites you to nominate an extraordinary visual, literary, performing, or media art program for consideration of receiving the annual Growing Up Artfully Awards for Excellence in Arts Education. The awards recognize long standing K-12 programs that bring quality arts experiences to the students and Lehigh Valley community. The awards will be presented at the spring 2011 arts in education workshop at Penn State Lehigh Valley on Thursday, April 14, 2o11.
The Growing Up Artfully Awards for Excellence in Arts Education honor K-12 school programs which:

- Are conducted by professional educators in collaboration with colleagues and members of the community.
- Encourage individual expression through accomplished technique.
A panel of artists, educators, and community leaders will review all applications, and public as well as non-public schools may apply. Each applicant will receive table space at the workshop for a display about their program. Nominated music, drama, and literary programs will have the opportunity to perform during the conference.
All applications must be received at the Lehigh Valley Arts Council office by January 21, 2011. Please enclose a self-addressed envelope with adequate postage for the return of support materials.
